Night Sky

you scream
beyond night skies
past galaxies,
silhouette leaves
tree black on grey,
yesterday's shimmering
like love
too hot
awaiting the Fall
...
then you sit,
all humble small,
alone
tiny dark grass shards
stretch for yards
Your dog
oblivious
dancing blind
with ignorance
...
you realize the stars
haven't heard a word.
